Tickled by the tempting offer on the site Offer daya we decided for an extended weekend stay from Friday to Sunday at the Grand Hotel Sava in Rogaška Slatina.
The price includes accommodation in a hotel based on half board, thermal pool, saunas, animation program.
The weather forecast does not worry us, because if the weather is not favorable to us, there are plenty of opportunities for good fun and rest within the Hotel.
We depart from Kastav at 8 am, and in 2 and a half hours of easy driving on the car road to Zagreb, so the road Krapina, we arrive at our destination.
To apply, it is still early, and since we do not have a concrete plan, it is best to tailor it over coffee. The receptionist directs us to Central Coffee, a place of excellent coffee, and also desserts. They make them themselves, so we couldn't resist. Apple cake, ‘ordinary’ cream cake and fruit cake appear to be a good choice. We can't, not compare prices with our local ones. More affordable than ours. And in such a tourism-oriented place!

Multilingual banners appear on many advertisements. Cyrillic, Russian or, perhaps, Ukrainian? Related languages, we know they are different, but we cannot make the judgment in question. They conspicuously dominate on real estate ads! And really, there are a lot of cars of Ukrainian registrations, and we learn from the saleswoman that a lot of real estate has gotten new owners who certainly distinguish Russian from Ukrainian. Languages and writing have been around for a long time. separated Today we can talk about two languages.
Kristal
Along with mineral waters, Rogaška Slatina is known for Aphrodite cosmetics, and also in the glass industry, i.e. crystal. With nostalgia we evoke memories of our younger years when the crystal was greatly appreciated and often given away. He kept himself in the showcase, in a visible place and waited for special guests and opportunities that could not be created. Often, these pieces of household treasure outlived their provocative owners without ever being used.
Surprised by the high prices in the factory store, upon returning home we will throw ourselves on dust removal from the crystal stock we have and releasing it into circulation!
In search of pool doors, on the way back to the hotel, we come to the shops. Shoes were purchased, and tempted by choice and prices, we bought several other items of clothing unplanned. ⁇

Swimming pool is the size of a swimming pool, and a water massage with occasional strong jets of water that are discharged into the pool is also suitable. The healing properties of water have been proven already on the 1st day. The wound in the palm is gone, washed away with mineral water.
After the pool, sauna, Finnish. Some like it more, some like it less, and some don't like it at all. ⁇ But the experience works, it was worth a try.
And for dinner at will in unlimited quantities. Excellent choice and very tasty.
Evening walk
The temperature has dropped, it is cold, but a walk after a plentiful dinner is very pleasant.
The panoramic tower to which the impressive bridge leads is still under construction. They are announcing that a large crystal ball will shine on top. All the more reason to visit Rogaška Slatina a few more times.

It takes us back in time with its story, its rooms, its objects, its exhibition.
The SLO-HR border here is crossed on a daily basis, so we will jump to Hrvatsko Zagorje.

We check out of the hotel after a plentiful breakfast, then the trip to Samobor.

It fascinated us with its architecture, atmosphere, promenades, old town, and of course with cream cake, the iconic pastry specialty of the City in Hotel Livadić.
After the completion of extensive works on the reconstruction of Stari Grad Street, water supply and sewage system, Samobor will be even more beautiful with new public lighting and pedestrian areas.

Sveta Nedelja
As long as we're close, it's a shame not to visit. mis It has been awarded the title of the best city for entrepreneurship in Croatia for years.
Of course, we were interested in “Mate Rimca“a new factory that is more than just a place to produce something. It is a magnificent tin building, but since the surrounding arrangement has not yet been completed, we cannot make an objective judgment.
The opening is announced for 2023, but at the end of February 2024 nothing happens here, on Sundays. Maybe they have a ban on working on the day they say we should use for vacation, so we'll come back another time, on weekdays.
We walked through the center of the town, in fact the square where the mayor is based. Beneath the church is a new park, in which we toast another beautiful trip. It is nicknamed Svetonedeljski Bundek (Svetonedeljski Bundek) and reportedly in a very short time became a favorite gathering place for children from the area of Sveta Nedelja.
