Cold outdoor air is felt even in heated spaces. The wind will, we know, amplify this feeling of cold, so we conclude that it makes no sense for us to freeze at early dawn. We're prolonging the movement to 10:00.
We set out to walk from Labin to Duga Luka, and then to Pizzeria Rumore which is known as the best in Istria and one of the best in our beautiful country.
Towards Dugi Luka…
We park away from the center of Labin, in front of the cemetery. It is spacious, parking is free of charge. We're moving well, tucked in.
On the main road we descend towards the sea. Sometimes the silence is interrupted by a car. Life in this part seems to have stopped.
Old stone houses along the road are mostly neglected, the tenants seem to have been gone for a long time.

We were dazzled by the view of the spacious landscaped plot. Huge, but the dwelling is not. The oil mill, we assume.
Duga Luka
A steep slope leads us to Long Luke, to the sea. Apart from a few private facilities, for rent mostly, there are no facilities here. Ideal for those who want peace, close to the sea, untouched nature.

We continue along the forest path along the coastal belt. Every few steps, pounding for the ponds. Wooden, concrete, paperless construction.

We're breaking out into the clearing. In front of us a large bay, Prtlog beach. Nice place to take a break and disassemble the content flask, Jeger and Teranino.

According to Labin...
Filled with the energy of the forest, wind, aerosols, sugar and alcohol, we continue uphill towards Labin. The road is wide, macadam.

It brings us to several urban buildings. We're surprised where people decide to build.
Some build, build, then abandon. In the middle of nowhere. Without a car, you're cut off here from the comforts of civilization.
The view of the endless uphill section in front of us is awe-inspiring. Move for a mic and get up.

Next to the bus station, the usual photo shoot with a convenient frame. There's a three in the photo, and a fourth in the camera.

Pizzeria Rumore
We booked the date for 4:00. We're early. But maybe we're lucky, so there's room sooner. We'll ask.

But no, others are waiting. We hear from the waiters that there are no available dates until 8 p.m.!!!
Slightly howls in our bellies, but we suffer stoically.
Their majesty's pizzas have finally arrived!
Well, it was worth the wait! Delicious, rich, generous.
We're full, but there's room for sweets.
Labin Old Town
The sun goes down so fast, it's so cold that we just sneak through the old town. And the sights a handful to see there!

Labin, don't hold it against us. See you again...soon!
Route
Due to the large ascent, the medium-difficult promenade.
