Love is in the air...

Choosing a local route for a walk becomes a challenge. Em is already quite warm, em we don't want to repeat ourselves.

One creative member of the team, combining several possibilities, puts together the Crikvenica-Tribalj-Crikvenica circular tour and the author's gpx file.

The car, as usual, is left on the charge, so we head towards the promenade along the river Dubračina.

Replica of a Roman furnace

The beginning is unsightly. Construction work is underway.

A replica of a Roman ceramic stove near a football field is a good idea, but the environment is messy. Made just like the Romans used to make it, from clay and sawdust. It is already “decorated” with modern graffiti. ⁇

The Romans knew how to use natural resources at their fingertips, but knowledge is lost in history, so the Croats are still looking for it.

River Dubračina

She's dried up. There is a mess in the space. A trough full of garbage, objects in decline. ⁇

And the finger in the eye is a concrete object on the top of the hill. You can't help but notice it every time you pass through Crikvenica.

From what we see, Crikvenica could and should have done better.

Drvored by Love

Love in Crikvenica is expanding and growing. We welcome the project of adopting a tree. ⁇ ⁇

A corner for nature lovers and barbecue enthusiasts has potential, but it is also loved by those in love with throwing garbage.

Following the trail of colorful cellophane that once enveloped delicious candies, we follow the path of some Ivica and Marica that Dad and Mom did not learn to protect nature.

We pass over the old stone bridge, overlook the fort Badanj, and we are in front of the Milman business building.

The smell of roasted coffee is not felt. The orchard is largely neglected, and the condition of the vine does not promise a large crop.

A wide, flat walkway can be said to be in development. Construction machinery here and there. Everything will be far more beautiful once the water flows through a professionally designed notch.

Lake Tribalj

We're on Lake Tribalj in a minute.

There were tents and fishermen all over the place. It's an international team.

It's fascinating the fact that someone drives hundreds of miles to come here to throw a hook. Passion should never be ignored. This is precisely the recipe for a successful tourist “product”.

The equipment is professional, and anglers like anglers, of different affinities. In some, the belly is beer, but there are also “six pack” athletes that attract the views of the female part of the team. ⁇ ⁇

Refreshment in thick shade pleases. We toast the 54th birthday to the celebrant and continue on the asphalt road, back to Crikvenica.

Gradina Badanj

We leave the asphalt turning right towards Love Road. It is one of the entrances to the promenade, which is relatively well known.

First we'll go to the Badanj Castle.

The winding stone path leads us to the top. We are cautious and in time we spotted a long brown-colored snake that peeled off in the sun. She was too fast for an amateur photographer, but believe me, she was there. ⁇ ⁇

From the hillfort, the view extends to Vinodol and Kvarner. Grižane called for a visit.

In the book of impressions, we left our mark, and we set out on the Love Trail which will gently lower us to Crikvenica.

A couple of kisses on passing benches is implied. We're not exaggerating.

Copper

Filled with the energy of love, but hungry and thirsty squared, we eat in the Cvitić tavern in Bakar.

Food excellent, portions huge, ambience pleasant, and affordable prices.

We shoot... for happiness and pleasure!

After lunch, a short walk through Bakar that started, but there is still a lot that needs to be solved.

The central square is nicely decorated, but the hotel is crying out for renovation. Until he comes to life, the city will have the stigma of a messy place.
